This photograph was entered into the 2018 Heard Museum Student Art Show. I am inspired by this photo not only because the picture was taken by daughter, Wyomee. The young lady in the picture is also my daughter, Brooke. The description for this photo tells that this photo has been dedicated to all the "Missing Indigenous Women" from all over America. It placed 1st and sold.

Brooke
Brooklynne will be graduating from High School this year and hopes to be a teacher one day. Although, she is still very young, she has volunteered in her community of Phoenix. She is currently the President of the Indian Club in her school district. She is taking college courses and has earned 50 credits towards her Associates Degree in General Education or Liberal Arts.
Her abilities are giving speeches, old-style jingle dress dancing, making frybread and dough for fund-raising activities. I admire and view her as my inspiration because she is everything I wanted to be. I know that with the support from her myself and family she will succeed. |
